Nigah Backstory
Hand embroidery is one of the most ancient forms of artistic expression. It has been practiced for centuries in India, where it’s an important part of today’s cultural heritage. The Nigah journey starts with collecting the best quality materials like Dabka, Sequins, Kasab, Khichha, pearls(moti), pearl drops(Surai), Resham, and mirrors. We use them all to hand-embroider our clutch bags, so they’re not only beautiful but also durable and long-lasting. The diversity of this beautiful art form is unparalleled as our artisans come from the Lucknow, Bareilly, Agra, and Rajasthan states of India. They use their fingers to create intricate patterns on clutch bags, making them a piece of art for you!

Nigah journey
Made by hand, with love, in India. We take pride in continued employment to the local artisans and try to uplift the hand embroidery art form in these times of fast-forward machine-made products. To start our design team creates a design on paper and transfers it to the fabric before it’s embroidered by an artisan who takes a soulful journey to a finished product. Our artisanal bags are made by a community of karigars who spend around 12-18 hours working with creativity and skilled expertise to create something uniquely made.
